this album is dedicated to my father
this heritage that runs through me would not be if not for him

my musical style comes from a clash of cultures
i grew up between a small town in new jersey and a village in egypt my formative ones in the latter
i have always had an internal struggle between the eastern and western society
living here, now, as both black and arab
my music is a way of coexisting with and navigating parts of who i am
by using classic arab music and combining it with a traditional boom bap rhythm, the music creates a balance of my duality, a harmony of self.
