this/my third album\is a result of self exploration and reimagining of what it means to belong
finding myself stuck between a past i cannot return to and a present state that feels unfamiliar
i find comfort in the music that has existed long before i was around
cutting pieces of reminiscent sonic imagery
pasting it on a foundation of hip hop
building a space all to myself
living amongst its alleyways and rooftops
seeking an almost utopian vision of belonging for those lost in the arab diaspora
there is a way to find a way back
someone just needs to draw the map
